Introducing our Purpose Academy

Milk & Honey has launched its 2023 ‘Purpose Academy’, a new initiative which enables global charities and not-for-profit organisations to upskill their employees and run their own campaigns.

Successful organisations will be invited on a six-month programme on a pro-bono basis with the agency, consisting of both monthly workshops led by professionals across a range of PR and digital marketing disciplines, along with bi-monthly 121 communications clinics. The series of workshops will include sessions on storytelling, media relations, digital offerings and creative campaigns.

Purpose Academy has six spots available for charities and not-for-profits looking to learn how they can enhance their comms strategies and brand positioning.

B Corp ‘Best for World’ accredited, Milk & Honey nurtures the reputations of brands – brands which look to make a positive impact on the world. The agency has worked with a number of leading charities and not-for-profit organisations, including children’s charity Make-A-Wish Foundation and tech-based refugee not-for-profit TechFugees.

Milk & Honey’s expertise lies in running purpose driven campaigns and comms activity, which includes the likes of mobile network giffgaff and electronics company Epson.

The programme will feature sessions from Milk & Honey’s founder and Group CEO Kirsty Leighton, Global Head of Media Zharina Arnaldo, Global Head of Digital Rachel Proctor, and Head of Consumer and Planning Kath Myers. The initiative will be led by senior client executive Anna Tattersall.

Kirsty Leighton, founder and Group CEO of Milk & Honey, said: “We have created our Purpose Academy so that purpose-led organisations can enhance their comms skills and get themselves heard. Many organisations might not have had access or the budget to leading PR teams – but we want to provide them with the skills to help make the world a better place.”

Anna Tattersall, senior client executive and Purpose Academy lead, said: “Purpose Academy is a great way for us to really live our values day-to-day. I’m so excited to relaunch this programme and connect with some brilliant organisations to share our expertise and sparkle a little bit further.”

Applications are open for the initiative until Tuesday 6th December. After assessing applications, the agency is inviting six organisations into this round of Purpose Academy beginning in January 2023.
